Acker Family could use your prayers...

It has been a while since I have posted a request like this, but I felt it was necessary. So anyone who has been following our blog is aware that my Father In Law has irreversible prostate cancer. It has been nearly 2 years since the initial diagnosis. Since then he has had many aches and pains, been through chemo, numerous medications, THE WORKS!!! Well he has been doing better, the cancer has been controlled and has not spread any other places. Well, he has had severe back pain, and had some troubles doing normal daily things. He saw the oncologist earlier today and he has been ordered to have x-rays tomorrow to see if it is colon cancer. SERIOUSLY...this has been tough enough on the ol' man, I pray this is not the case. But I figured a few prayers couldn't hurt. As soon as I know something I will post, but our family will be saying our prayers tonight.

It saddens me that we even have to reach out for more, but God knows whatever it is we CAN handle the news. Papa, hang in there you got3 grandchildren that need you to be strong and continue to keep fighting as hard as you have...give it hell ol' man! Gabi will be holding your hand tomorrow...WE LOVE YOU!!!

And one more request, Jason had his annual check up a couple weeks ago with the oncologist, and his thyroid is enlarged. He had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago and they want to do a biopsy, which is suppose to be tomorrow. I say suppose to be because the doc's office said it's a consultation but that is not what we were originally told so who knows. Every year at the annual check up the oncologist looks closely at his heart and thyroid, these are the 2 areas of concern for long term side effects from his chemo.

Well, it's getting late and Jason is waiting on me to start a movie, so I best be scootin.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers:)

Good Night!
